With an ecobee Smart Security subscription, the SmartSensor for doors and windows detects if either has been open for more than 5 minutes, automatically pausing your HVAC system. Once the door or window has been closed for more than 30 seconds, the HVAC system resumes operation. This feature is compatible with ecobee smart thermostats and requires an ecobee Smart Security subscription
